Football Tournament Proposal

Executive Summary
This tournament is going to be held with the intend of providing students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play football in an organized league or fashion an opportunity to do so.  It is going to be held during school so that anyone who wants to play can, and it will be two-hand touch or flag depending on popular demand.  Through this tournament the current Intramurals Program can appeal to a wider variety of students, and help diversify the school and the programs available to the students.
Need
Ever since Intramurals started as pilot program last, and now is its own club.  The vision has always been that we   play sports because we love them, it not just about winning or losing, its all about playing the game to just play the game.  Benefits to the school and student body have been and still are; a great place and time to hang out with your friends, supplement P.E. credits, and play sports in a stress free environment, and just blow off some steam.  Specifically this proposal is about a Football tournament that is going to be held later in January, it is going to be flag football, and require students to sign an ethics code of conduct to play.
Objective
This Football tournament is going to be held in an attempt to open up intramurals to a larger group of students.  Because up until now all intramurals has done is soccer, basketball, and dodgeball.  By holding a football tournament we will be able to appeal to a wider array of students at AHS. There will be a booth at lunch set up to pass out rosters and ethic codes to those interested in participating in the Tournament, or seeking more information about the club and its activities.
Method
I plan on achieving the project with help from a few class mates who can help get the word of the tournament outside of the the actual club and its members.  A due date will be set for those wanting to participate to turn in their rosters, and ethics codes.  And finally a tournament bracket with be set up and teams will be told when they will be playing, and the tournament will be held.
Evaluation
I know that the project will be successful by the number of participants.  I can gauge this by comparing it to the turnout of other tournaments, for example the Basketball tournament that passed had five different teams participating, each with at least 6 members.
Qualifications
The facilities that will be used will be the soccer field that is on campus, and already being used during lunch by students playing frisbee, soccer, and football. Equipment that will be used is already available that was purchased with a grant from the PTSA last year.  Individuals wanting to help with this project must show organizational skills, be trustworthy, and have proficient public speaking skills.
Time Table
Thursday, January 6; Make posters to be used during lunch on the 6th at the booth.
Friday, January 7;  Have a table at Lunch ready to pass out information such as rosters, and ethics codes.
Tuesday, January 11;  Forms are due back to be considered for entry, and brackets are emailed out to team captains same night.
Thursday January 13; Tournament begins, and will continue to the next week.
Budget
There will be no expenses for this project because no new equipment or facilities are needed.
Conclusion
This project is worthwhile because it can help diversify this school and the programs available to the students.
